5 Reasons Working with Family is *Simply the Best*
Everyone knows that working with family can get complicated at times, but no one really talks about all the reasons it's the best! I want to highlight five of my favorite reasons today!
.
1. No Awkward First Day Ice Breakers
Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate why these games are important to build a team, but I can't say I miss them! Plus, I've already had 27 years of team building exercises with my dad 😂
.
2. No Dress Code at the Office
Most days, I work from home, so it's just me and my cat, obviously my cat isn't enforcing Business Casual! Whenever I have to go up to my dad's house for restock days or meetings, there never any need for pantyhose or heels! Praise be!
.
3. The Amenities of my Dad's House
My apartment building doesn't have a laundry room, so every time I work from my dad's house, I get the added bonus of laundry time 😅 Not to mention, a catered lunch (usually whatever my dad has in the fridge) and unlimited cuddles from his dog, Charlie, and his four cats! Talk about office perks!
.
4. My Boss Will Never Forget My Birthday
Birthdays and holidays are spent together because we want to, not because we're forced to 😂 My dad always makes me a Funfetti cake for my birthday every year, and we celebrate, not as business partners, but as a family!
.
5. It's Family Time, All The Time!
In the Williamson Clan, we appreciate every moment together! Since we have 18 people in our immediate family, it can be hectic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything! My dad and stepmom often have my niece and/or nephew over while I'm working, so it's an added bonus to see them! When I go over to work with my sister-in-law, Laura, I get to see the kids AND we get our work done 💜
There are a million more reasons that I love working with my family, but these are a few! What about you? Do you work with your family? What are some of your favorite reasons?
